State officials have implemented stricter measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham ordered Monday the closure of all non-essential businesses, including retail stores, requiring all nonessential workers in the state to work remotely. New Mexicans were also instructed to keep group gatherings to five people or less. Those who do not abide could receive criminal or civil citations, Lujan Grisham said.
The order will be in effect from March 24 to April 10.
